This policy explains how CookPDF handles data when you visit the website, use the PDF tools, create an account, use AI features, contact support, or make a payment.

1. Responsible entity

The service is provided under the name CookPDF. Privacy contact: legal@cookpdf.io. User support: support@cookpdf.io.

2. Data that may be processed

  • Account information such as name, email, language, and plan status.
  • Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device, access time, and error logs.
  • Content you send to support.
  • Transaction information needed to manage plans; sensitive payment data is handled by PayPal or Airwallex.
  • Files, text, questions, and instructions needed when you actively use AI features.

3. Standard PDF tools

The main operation of standard PDF tools is performed directly in the browser on your device. Files are not uploaded to CookPDF servers to perform the main operation. Data may be stored locally in browser memory, IndexedDB, or similar technology to maintain sessions, cache, autosave, and recover your most recent work.

Local data remains on your device and in your browser profile until it is replaced, deleted in the interface, cleaned up by the browser, or deleted by you through the website data settings.

4. AI features and service providers

When you actively choose an AI task, CookPDF may send to the third-party AI service provider used by CookPDF the portion of data necessary to generate the result, including extracted files or text, questions, instructions, language, task settings, and relevant conversation context.

The third-party AI service provider used by CookPDF processes data according to the service configuration, agreements, and policies applicable to the connection that CookPDF uses. CookPDF makes no other commitment about retention time or training unless that commitment is confirmed by the current configuration and applicable terms. You should not send confidential or sensitive information unless necessary; always check AI results before use.

5. Purposes of processing

  • Provide the tools, accounts, and features you request.
  • Maintain sessions, recover local data, and support users.
  • Process transactions, plan benefits, and prevent fraud.
  • Detect errors, protect the system, and improve performance.
  • Comply with legal obligations and handle user requests.

6. Parties that may receive data

Data is shared only to the extent necessary with providers that support the operation of the relevant functions. The third-party AI service provider used by CookPDF receives the data necessary for AI tasks. PayPal or Airwallex receive the data necessary to process payments, verify transactions, prevent fraud, and issue refunds. These providers handle data according to their own terms and policies.

CookPDF may use cookies or similar storage technology necessary to maintain sessions, remember language, protect the website, and support the functions users request. File cache, autosave, and session history may be stored locally in the browser; local storage does not mean files are uploaded to CookPDF servers.

8. Security

The connection between the browser and CookPDF uses HTTPS. You are responsible for protecting your device, account, and original files; do not send passwords, card information, or sensitive documents via support email.

9. Your choices and rights

You can update your account information, delete local data in the browser, request support, or submit data-related requests via legal@cookpdf.io. The scope of processing a request depends on the data CookPDF holds and mandatory applicable regulations.

10. Changes to the policy

CookPDF may update the policy as functions, providers, or data handling change. The update date is shown at the top of the page.
