These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CookPDF, including our website, PDF tools, AI-powered features, account services, paid plans, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

The Service is operated under the CookPDF brand (“CookPDF”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, or purchasing a paid plan, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the Service.

1. The Service

CookPDF provides online tools for working with PDF documents and related files. Depending on the feature, the Service may include:

• PDF conversion, editing, organization, compression, and other document-processing tools;

• browser-based document processing;

• server-based document processing where required for a particular feature;

• AI-powered document features;

• file upload, processing, and temporary storage;

• user accounts and usage history;

• free and paid subscription plans; and

• other features that we may introduce from time to time.

Certain features, limits, and availability may depend on your account type, subscription plan, device, browser, location, or technical requirements.

We may improve, modify, add, suspend, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law and any rights associated with an active paid subscription.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under applicable law to use the Service.

If you create an account, you are responsible for:

• providing accurate and current information;

• maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials;

• activities performed through your account; and

• notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed or used without authorization.

You may not sell, transfer, share, or otherwise make your account available to another person in a manner that violates these Terms or the conditions of your subscription.

3. Your Files and Content

You retain ownership of files, documents, text, images, prompts, and other content that you upload, submit, or process through CookPDF (“User Content”).

You grant CookPDF a limited right to access, process, transmit, store, reproduce, and otherwise handle User Content only to the extent reasonably necessary to:

• provide the Service you request;

• operate and secure the Service;

• prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents;

• troubleshoot technical problems; and

• comply with applicable legal obligations.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have all rights and permissions necessary to upload and process User Content through CookPDF.

You must not use CookPDF to process or distribute content that violates applicable law or infringes the intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights of another person.

4. PDF Processing and File Handling

Different CookPDF tools may use different processing methods.

Some tools may process files locally within your browser or device. Other tools may require files or related data to be transmitted to our servers or third-party infrastructure in order to perform the requested operation.

Where temporary server-side processing is required, we aim to retain uploaded and generated files only for the period reasonably necessary to provide the requested function, unless a longer period is required for a feature you have chosen, account functionality, security purposes, or applicable law.

You are responsible for maintaining your own copies or backups of important documents. CookPDF should not be used as the sole storage location for important files.

5. AI-Powered Features

Certain CookPDF features may use artificial intelligence or machine-learning technologies provided by CookPDF or third-party AI service providers.

When you use an AI-powered feature, the information necessary to perform your request — which may include text, document content, prompts, instructions, or other relevant data — may be transmitted to the applicable AI service provider.

AI-generated results may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misleading, or unsuitable for your intended purpose. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated output before relying on it.

AI-generated output should not be treated as professional legal, financial, medical, or other regulated professional advice.

The handling of personal data associated with AI-powered features is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use CookPDF:

• for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive activities;

• to infringe intellectual property or other rights;

• to upload or distribute malware or malicious code;

• to interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;

• to attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, networks, or data;

• to bypass usage restrictions, rate limits, security measures, or access controls;

• to reverse engineer or exploit the Service except where expressly permitted by applicable law;

• to use automated systems in a manner that imposes unreasonable load on the Service;

• to resell or commercially redistribute access to the Service without our written authorization; or

• in any other manner that materially harms CookPDF, our users, or third parties.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users, third parties, or comply with legal obligations.

7. Free and Paid Plans

CookPDF may provide free services as well as paid subscriptions.

The features, usage limits, billing period, price, and other conditions applicable to a paid plan are displayed on the pricing page, checkout page, or other applicable purchase interface before you complete your purchase.

Features and usage limits may vary between plans.

Paid subscriptions may be offered on monthly, annual, or other recurring billing periods.

8. Subscription Renewal

Unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout, recurring subscriptions automatically renew for successive billing periods until cancelled.

By purchasing a recurring subscription, you authorize the applicable payment provider or Merchant of Record to charge the applicable subscription amount, together with any taxes or charges that are properly payable, at each billing cycle until the subscription is cancelled.

The applicable price, billing frequency, and renewal terms will be disclosed before purchase.

You may cancel renewal through the methods available in your CookPDF account or through the applicable payment provider or Merchant of Record, where available.

Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase or required by applicable law, cancellation prevents future renewals but does not immediately terminate access to a period that has already been paid for. You may continue using the applicable paid features until the end of that paid billing period.

Deleting your CookPDF account does not necessarily cancel a subscription managed through an external payment provider. You should ensure that any active subscription is separately cancelled.

9. Prices and Changes to Subscription Fees

Prices applicable to your purchase are displayed before checkout.

We may change the price of our plans from time to time.

Price changes will not retroactively change charges that have already been paid.

Where a price change applies to an existing recurring subscription, we will provide notice or obtain additional consent where required by applicable law or the applicable payment provider.

If you do not agree to a future subscription price, you may cancel the subscription before the new price takes effect.

10. Payments

CookPDF may make different payment methods or payment providers available depending on your location, selected plan, currency, or other factors.

PayPal and Airwallex

Where a payment is processed using PayPal, Airwallex, or another payment service provider acting as a payment processor, the payment may also be subject to that provider's applicable terms and privacy policies.

CookPDF does not store full payment card information where payment information is collected and processed directly by the applicable payment provider.

Paddle

For orders processed through Paddle:

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

For such transactions, Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record and authorized reseller in connection with the transaction. Payment processing, applicable sales taxes or VAT, billing, invoicing, refunds, and certain order-related matters may therefore be handled by Paddle in accordance with Paddle's applicable Buyer Terms and policies.

CookPDF remains responsible for providing and supporting the CookPDF product and its functionality.

The payment method or Merchant of Record applicable to a transaction will be presented as part of the relevant checkout process.

11. Refunds

Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances of the purchase, the payment channel used, our applicable Subscription Policy, and any mandatory rights available under applicable consumer law.

Refund requests relating to purchases processed directly by CookPDF through a payment processor should be submitted according to the instructions in our Subscription Policy or by contacting our support team.

For transactions where Paddle is the Merchant of Record, refund and order-related requests may be handled by Paddle in accordance with Paddle's applicable policies and customer support procedures.

Nothing in these Terms or our Subscription Policy limits any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or waived.

12. Taxes

Prices may be displayed inclusive or exclusive of applicable taxes depending on the checkout method, location, and payment provider.

Where Paddle acts as Merchant of Record, Paddle may calculate, collect, and remit applicable sales taxes, VAT, GST, or similar transaction taxes in accordance with its obligations.

For transactions processed through other payment arrangements, applicable taxes will be handled as indicated during checkout and as required by applicable law.

13. Intellectual Property

Except for User Content and third-party materials, CookPDF and its associated software, interfaces, design, branding, logos, text, graphics, functionality, and other materials are owned by or licensed to CookPDF and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Your use of CookPDF does not transfer ownership of our intellectual property to you.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Service for its intended purposes.

14. Third-Party Services

CookPDF may rely on or integrate with third-party services, including payment providers, cloud infrastructure providers, analytics services, AI providers, and other technical service providers.

Your use of certain third-party services may be subject to additional terms and privacy policies provided by those third parties.

We are not responsible for independent third-party services to the extent permitted by applicable law.

15. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable Service, but we do not guarantee that CookPDF will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times.

Temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical failures, security issues, infrastructure problems, third-party services, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may perform maintenance or make changes to maintain the security, performance, and reliability of the Service.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

• every file will be processed successfully;

• every conversion or generated result will be completely accurate;

• AI-generated results will be accurate or appropriate;

• the Service will meet every particular requirement; or

• the Service will always be available without interruption.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CookPDF will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, business opportunities, goodwill, or data arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, CookPDF's liability will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful, including any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.

18. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service where reasonably necessary because of:

• a material or repeated violation of these Terms;

• unlawful or fraudulent activity;

• security risks;

• misuse of the Service;

• non-payment of applicable fees; or

• legal or regulatory requirements.

Where reasonably possible and appropriate, we may provide notice before terminating a paid account, unless immediate action is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or protection of users or third parties.

You may stop using CookPDF at any time.

Termination of an account does not automatically entitle you to a refund unless required by our applicable refund policy or applicable law.

19. Changes to the Service or These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, business operations, payment arrangements, legal requirements, or security practices.

When changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice where required by applicable law.

The updated Terms will display a revised “Last updated” date.

Changes will not retroactively remove rights that you have already acquired under applicable law.

20. Governing Law and Consumer Rights

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, except where applicable mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by the competent courts in Vietnam, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in another jurisdiction.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived or excluded.

21. Language

These Terms may be provided in multiple languages for convenience.

If there is any inconsistency between translated versions, the English version will control to the extent permitted by applicable law.
