These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the CookPDF website, its PDF tools, AI features, accounts, service plans, and related functionality provided by CookPDF. By using CookPDF, you confirm that you have read and agree to the terms below.
1. Service provider
The service is provided and operated under the name CookPDF. Any support or legal request can be sent to support@cookpdf.io or legal@cookpdf.io.
2. Conditions of use
You may only use CookPDF if you have legal rights to the documents and the capacity to be responsible for your actions. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to represent that organization.
- Provide accurate account information and protect your login credentials.
- Do not use the service to infringe the privacy, copyright, or rights of others.
- Do not disrupt, bypass limits, exploit without authorization, or interfere with the system.
- Do not upload or send to AI content that you do not have the right to process.
3. Scope of service
CookPDF provides tools to merge, split, compress, convert, edit, organize, protect, and work with PDFs; it may also provide accounts, paid plans, and AI features. The actual features, formats, and limits are shown in the corresponding interface.
4. File processing
CookPDF's standard PDF tools perform the main operation directly in the browser on your device. Files are not uploaded to CookPDF servers to perform the main operation. The browser may store data locally to maintain state, cache, and recover sessions; you can delete this data in the interface or your browser settings.
An exception applies when you actively use AI features. The content necessary for the request may be transmitted to the third-party AI service provider used by CookPDF to generate results. This handling is described further in the Privacy Policy and the How CookPDF Handles Files page.
5. User content
You retain rights to your documents and content. You grant a limited right for CookPDF and the relevant providers to process data only to the extent necessary to perform the task you actively request. You are responsible for backing up your original files and checking the output files before use.
6. AI features
AI features use the third-party AI service provider used by CookPDF to analyze content, answer questions, summarize, translate, or generate related results. Results are generated automatically, may be inaccurate or lack context, and do not replace legal, financial, medical, or professional advice. You must check results before using them for important decisions.
Whether the third-party AI service provider used by CookPDF retains or uses data is governed by the service configuration, agreements, and policies applicable to the connection that CookPDF uses. Do not send confidential or sensitive data unless truly necessary.
7. Accounts and service plans
Some functions may require login or a paid plan. Prices, billing cycles, limits, benefits, and auto-renewal status are shown on the pricing page, at the checkout step, or in the account area. The information you confirm at the time of payment applies to that transaction.
8. Payment, cancellation, and refunds
Payments are processed through PayPal or Airwallex, depending on the method shown at checkout. Processing is also subject to the terms and policies of the chosen provider. CookPDF does not ask you to send card information via email or support forms.
You can cancel renewal following the instructions in your account or at the payment provider. Refund requests are reviewed based on the information at the time of purchase, service usage status, PayPal or Airwallex policies, and mandatory consumer rights. Refunds are returned to the original payment method when possible; the time to receive funds depends on the payment gateway and financial institution.
9. Intellectual property
CookPDF and the components of the service, except user content and third-party assets, are owned or legally licensed by CookPDF. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or exploit the service beyond the permitted scope.
10. Availability and limitation of liability
CookPDF strives to keep the service stable but does not guarantee that every feature is always uninterrupted, compatible with every file, or produces fully accurate results. To the extent permitted by law, CookPDF is not responsible for data loss due to users not backing up, input file errors, decisions based on AI results, or events beyond reasonable control.
11. Changes to the terms
CookPDF may update the terms as the service, technology, providers, or compliance requirements change. The update date is shown at the top of the page. If a change significantly affects user rights, CookPDF may provide notice on the website, in your account, or by email.
12. Language
The terms may be provided in multiple languages. In case of any discrepancy between translations, the English version prevails for interpretation, unless a mandatory applicable regulation requires otherwise.
