Subscription Policy

Effective date: 01/08/2026
Last updated: 01/10/2026

This Subscription Policy explains how paid subscriptions for CookPDF (“CookPDF”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) work, including billing, automatic renewal, cancellation, subscription changes, and payment processing.

This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy.

By purchasing a CookPDF subscription, you agree to the subscription terms presented at checkout and this Subscription Policy.

1. Subscription Plans

CookPDF may offer free services and paid subscription plans.

Paid subscriptions may provide access to features such as:

  • higher usage limits;

  • premium PDF tools;

  • AI-powered features;

  • additional processing capacity;

  • enhanced functionality; and

  • other benefits described on the applicable pricing or checkout page.

Available plans, features, usage limits, prices, currencies, and billing periods may vary depending on location, platform, promotion, or payment method.

The applicable subscription price, billing period, and key subscription terms will be displayed before you complete your purchase.

2. Billing Periods

CookPDF subscriptions may be offered on:

  • monthly billing;

  • annual billing; or

  • another billing period clearly disclosed before purchase.

Your paid subscription begins when the initial payment is successfully completed or when paid access is otherwise activated as indicated during checkout.

Your subscription remains active for the applicable billing period unless terminated or otherwise affected in accordance with this policy, our Terms of Service, or applicable law.

3. Automatic Renewal

Unless clearly stated otherwise at checkout, CookPDF paid subscriptions are recurring subscriptions and automatically renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled.

For example:

  • a monthly subscription normally renews each month; and

  • an annual subscription normally renews each year.

By purchasing a recurring subscription, you authorize the applicable payment provider or Merchant of Record to charge the subscription fee and any applicable taxes using your selected payment method at each renewal.

Before completing your purchase, the applicable checkout process will display material subscription information, including:

  • subscription price;

  • billing frequency;

  • whether the subscription automatically renews; and

  • other material conditions applicable to the purchase.

You are responsible for cancelling your subscription before the next renewal if you do not want it to renew.

4. Renewal Date

Your subscription will generally renew on or around the corresponding date of your original subscription purchase or most recent renewal.

The exact billing date may vary in certain circumstances, including differences in calendar months, payment processing times, failed payment retries, changes to your subscription, or rules applied by the payment provider.

The applicable payment provider may display additional information about your next billing date.

5. Cancelling Your Subscription

You may cancel the automatic renewal of your CookPDF subscription at any time before the next renewal payment is processed.

Depending on how you purchased your subscription, cancellation may be available through:

  • your CookPDF account;

  • the applicable payment provider;

  • the applicable Merchant of Record; or

  • CookPDF Customer Support.

Cancellation prevents future automatic renewal.

Unless otherwise stated at checkout or required by applicable law, cancellation does not immediately terminate access to a subscription period that has already been paid for.

You may generally continue using the paid features included in your subscription until the end of your current paid billing period.

After the paid billing period ends, your subscription will not renew and your account may return to a free plan or lose access to paid features.

6. Cancellation Deadline

To avoid the next recurring charge, you should cancel your subscription before the next renewal payment is processed.

If a renewal payment has already been successfully processed, cancelling the subscription will normally prevent the following renewal rather than reverse the payment that has already occurred.

Eligibility for a refund of a completed payment is governed separately by our Refund Policy and any mandatory rights under applicable law.

7. Account Deletion and Subscription Cancellation

Deleting your CookPDF account does not necessarily cancel a subscription that is managed by an external payment provider or Merchant of Record.

If you have an active paid subscription, you should cancel the subscription before deleting your CookPDF account.

If you require assistance determining whether a subscription remains active, contact CookPDF Customer Support.

8. Changing Your Subscription

Where supported, CookPDF may allow you to upgrade, downgrade, or otherwise change your subscription plan.

The timing of a plan change and any corresponding charge, credit, proration, or change in available features may depend on:

  • the plan selected;

  • the payment provider;

  • the billing cycle;

  • the time remaining in the current subscription period; and

  • the conditions displayed when the change is requested.

Any applicable price or billing adjustment will be displayed where reasonably possible before you confirm the change.

9. Failed or Declined Payments

If a subscription payment cannot be completed, CookPDF or the applicable payment provider may:

  • retry the payment where permitted;

  • notify you of the payment failure;

  • ask you to update your payment method;

  • temporarily restrict access to paid features; or

  • suspend or terminate the paid subscription if payment remains unsuccessful.

If your subscription ends because payment cannot be completed, you may need to purchase or reactivate a subscription to regain access to paid features.

10. Subscription Price Changes

CookPDF may change subscription prices from time to time.

A price change will not retroactively alter a payment that has already been successfully completed.

If a price change applies to an existing recurring subscription, CookPDF or the applicable payment provider will provide notice or obtain additional consent where required by applicable law or payment-provider requirements.

If you do not agree to an upcoming subscription price change, you may cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect.

11. Promotions, Discounts, and Free Trials

CookPDF may offer:

  • promotional prices;

  • discounts;

  • coupons;

  • free trials;

  • introductory offers; or

  • other special subscription offers.

Specific conditions may apply to these offers and will be presented with the applicable offer.

Promotional or introductory pricing may apply only for a limited period. After that period, the subscription may renew at the regular subscription price disclosed in connection with the offer.

If a free or discounted trial automatically converts into a paid recurring subscription, the applicable price and renewal conditions will be disclosed before the trial begins where required by applicable law.

If you do not want a trial or promotional subscription to convert or renew as a paid subscription, you should cancel it before the applicable conversion or renewal date.

12. Payment Providers

CookPDF may make different payment methods available depending on your location, currency, subscription plan, or other factors.

Payments may be processed through providers such as:

  • PayPal;

  • Airwallex;

  • Paddle; or

  • another payment provider displayed during checkout.

Payment providers may apply their own terms, payment-processing requirements, security procedures, and privacy practices.

13. Paddle Subscriptions

Where your subscription is purchased through Paddle, Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for the transaction.

Paddle may handle matters including:

  • payment processing;

  • recurring billing;

  • applicable transaction taxes;

  • invoices and receipts;

  • subscription transaction management; and

  • certain order-related customer service matters.

Your transaction with Paddle may also be subject to Paddle's applicable Buyer Terms and policies.

CookPDF remains responsible for providing the CookPDF Service and the features associated with your subscription.

14. PayPal and Airwallex Subscriptions

Where your subscription payment is processed through PayPal or Airwallex, recurring payments may be managed using the payment arrangements available through the applicable provider.

Certain subscription or payment-management functions may therefore also be available through your account with the applicable payment provider.

CookPDF may receive payment and subscription status information from these providers in order to activate, maintain, renew, cancel, or otherwise manage your CookPDF subscription.

15. Taxes

Applicable taxes may be included in or added to the displayed subscription price depending on your location, payment method, and the entity processing the transaction.

Where Paddle acts as Merchant of Record, Paddle may calculate, collect, and remit applicable VAT, GST, sales tax, or similar transaction taxes in accordance with its obligations.

The applicable total amount payable will be displayed as part of the checkout process.

16. Refunds

Cancellation of a subscription and requesting a refund are separate actions.

Cancelling your subscription stops future renewals but does not automatically result in a refund of payments that have already been completed.

Refund eligibility and refund procedures are governed by our separate Refund Policy, the terms applicable to the payment provider or Merchant of Record where relevant, and mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.

Please review our Refund Policy before purchasing a paid subscription.

17. Subscription Features and Usage Limits

Each subscription plan may include specific features, quotas, credits, file-processing limits, AI usage limits, or other usage restrictions.

These limits will be described on the relevant pricing page, account interface, or other applicable part of the Service.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, unused usage allowances, quotas, or credits do not automatically carry over to a future billing period.

Subscription allowances, credits, or benefits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash unless required by applicable law.

18. Changes to Subscription Plans

CookPDF may introduce new plans or modify, replace, or discontinue existing subscription plans.

We will not intentionally make a material adverse change to an existing paid subscription in a manner that violates applicable law.

Where a material change affects an existing paid subscription, we will provide notice where required by applicable law.

You may cancel your subscription if you do not wish to continue after an applicable change.

19. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Subscription Policy limits or excludes consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived or excluded.

Depending on your country or region, you may have additional statutory rights relating to recurring subscriptions, cancellation, notice, or other matters.

Where mandatory applicable law provides greater protection than this Subscription Policy, those legal requirements will apply.

20. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Subscription Policy from time to time to reflect changes to:

  • subscription plans;

  • billing practices;

  • payment providers;

  • Service functionality; or

  • applicable legal requirements.

The current version will display the applicable “Last updated” date.

Where required by applicable law, we will provide notice of material changes affecting an existing subscription.
