Refund Policy

10/2/2026

Effective date: 01/08/2026
Last updated: 01/10/2026

This Refund Policy explains when payments for CookPDF (“CookPDF”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) may be eligible for a refund and how refund requests are handled.

This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and Subscription Policy.

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any refund, cancellation, withdrawal, or other consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

1. General Refund Policy

Except where required by applicable law or expressly stated otherwise at the time of purchase, payments for CookPDF subscriptions and paid services are generally non-refundable once the applicable paid service or subscription access has been made available.

We may, however, approve refunds in the circumstances described in this policy.

Submitting a refund request does not automatically guarantee that a refund will be approved.

2. Situations That May Be Eligible for a Refund

A refund may be considered in circumstances including:

Duplicate Charges

You were charged more than once for the same CookPDF purchase or subscription period because of a verified billing or technical error.

Incorrect Charges

You were charged an incorrect amount because of a verified billing error attributable to CookPDF or the applicable payment process.

Service Not Provided

Your payment was successfully completed, but the paid CookPDF subscription or service was not activated or made available because of a verified technical problem attributable to CookPDF.

Material Technical Failure

A significant technical problem attributable to CookPDF prevented you from using the material paid functionality of the Service, and CookPDF was unable to resolve the problem within a reasonable period after being notified.

Unauthorized Transactions

You believe a payment was made without your authorization.

Unauthorized transaction claims may require verification and may also be handled through the applicable payment provider, card issuer, bank, or Merchant of Record.

Mandatory Consumer Rights

A refund is required under applicable consumer protection law or another legal obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Other Exceptional Circumstances

CookPDF may, at its discretion and where permitted by law, approve a refund in other exceptional circumstances.

3. Situations That Are Generally Not Eligible for a Refund

Except where required by applicable law, refunds are generally not provided solely because:

  • you changed your mind after purchasing a subscription;

  • you no longer need the Service;

  • you forgot to cancel before a subscription renewed;

  • you did not use the Service after purchasing or renewing a subscription;

  • you used only part of the subscription period;

  • you did not use all available credits, quotas, or usage allowances;

  • you expected functionality that was not included in the plan description at the time of purchase;

  • your device, browser, network connection, or third-party software prevented you from using the Service where the problem was not attributable to CookPDF;

  • you failed to cancel the subscription before the next renewal was processed; or

  • your account was restricted or terminated because of a material violation of our Terms of Service.

This section does not override any mandatory rights available under applicable law.

4. Subscription Renewals

CookPDF subscriptions may automatically renew as described in our Subscription Policy and during the applicable checkout process.

Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not automatically reverse a renewal payment that has already been successfully processed.

If you do not want your subscription to renew, you should cancel it before the next renewal payment is processed.

A completed renewal payment is generally non-refundable solely because the subscriber forgot to cancel, except where:

  • applicable law requires otherwise;

  • there was a billing or technical error;

  • the renewal was not properly authorized;

  • the applicable payment provider or Merchant of Record provides additional rights; or

  • CookPDF determines that exceptional circumstances justify a refund.

5. Cancellation Is Different From a Refund

Cancelling a subscription and requesting a refund are separate actions.

Cancellation prevents future subscription renewals.

Refund means returning all or part of a payment that has already been completed.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, cancelling a subscription does not automatically create a right to a refund for the current or previous billing period.

After cancellation, you may generally continue using paid features until the end of the billing period already paid for, as described in our Subscription Policy.

6. How to Request a Refund

For eligible purchases handled directly for CookPDF through a payment processor such as PayPal or Airwallex, you may request a refund by contacting:

Customer Support: [email protected]

Please provide, where available:

  • the email address associated with your CookPDF account;

  • transaction or order ID;

  • payment date;

  • amount charged;

  • payment provider;

  • subscription plan; and

  • a brief explanation of why you are requesting a refund.

Providing complete information may help us review your request more efficiently.

Please do not send full payment card numbers, passwords, security codes, or other sensitive payment credentials by email.

7. Refund Request Review

We may review information reasonably necessary to determine whether a refund request qualifies under this policy.

This may include:

  • payment and transaction records;

  • subscription status;

  • account information;

  • activation records;

  • relevant Service usage information;

  • error or diagnostic information;

  • previous refund history; and

  • communications with Customer Support.

We will use this information only as permitted by our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

We may request additional information where reasonably necessary to verify the transaction or investigate the issue.

8. Paddle Purchases

For transactions processed through Paddle, Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record.

Paddle may handle payment processing, billing, taxes, invoices, refunds, and certain transaction-related customer service matters according to its applicable Buyer Terms and refund policies.

If your CookPDF purchase was processed by Paddle, your refund request may therefore need to be submitted to or processed by Paddle.

CookPDF may assist with product-related information where necessary to review the request.

Any mandatory rights or additional refund rights available under Paddle's applicable terms or applicable law will continue to apply.

9. PayPal and Airwallex Purchases

For purchases processed through PayPal or Airwallex where CookPDF is responsible for determining refund eligibility, we will review the request under this Refund Policy and applicable law.

If a refund is approved, it will normally be returned through the original payment method where technically possible.

PayPal, Airwallex, banks, card networks, or card issuers may have their own processing procedures and timelines.

10. Refund Method

Approved refunds will generally be returned to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Where returning funds to the original payment method is not technically possible, another appropriate method may be used where permitted by applicable law and the applicable payment provider.

The currency and final amount received may be affected by payment-provider processing, currency conversion, banking rules, or other factors outside CookPDF's reasonable control.

CookPDF will not intentionally withhold any portion of an approved refund except where permitted by applicable law or required by the applicable payment provider.

11. Refund Processing Time

Once a refund is approved and submitted for processing, the time required for the funds to appear in your account depends on the payment provider, card network, bank, payment method, and other processing factors.

CookPDF cannot guarantee the exact date on which an approved refund will appear in your account after it has been submitted to the applicable payment provider.

12. Partial Refunds

Where permitted by applicable law and supported by the applicable payment provider, CookPDF may issue a full or partial refund depending on the circumstances.

We do not guarantee prorated refunds for unused portions of a subscription unless required by applicable law or expressly stated otherwise.

13. Promotions and Discounted Purchases

Purchases made using promotional prices, coupons, or discounts are subject to this Refund Policy unless different refund conditions were clearly disclosed as part of the applicable promotion.

Where a refund is approved, the refund will generally be based on the amount actually paid rather than the standard non-discounted price.

14. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you believe a payment was made incorrectly, we encourage you to contact CookPDF Customer Support or the applicable Merchant of Record so that the issue can be investigated.

Nothing in this policy prevents you from exercising legitimate dispute or chargeback rights available through your bank, card issuer, payment provider, or applicable law.

If a chargeback or payment dispute is initiated, CookPDF and the applicable payment provider may provide transaction, account, subscription, and relevant Service-usage information reasonably necessary to investigate and respond to the dispute.

Fraudulent or abusive payment disputes may result in restriction or suspension of the associated CookPDF account where permitted by applicable law.

15. Consumer Rights

This Refund Policy does not exclude or restrict any consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

Depending on your country or region, you may have statutory rights to:

  • cancel certain transactions;

  • withdraw from certain contracts;

  • receive refunds for services that are not provided as agreed; or

  • exercise other consumer remedies.

Where applicable mandatory law provides greater protection than this Refund Policy, the applicable legal requirements will prevail.

16. Changes to This Refund Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in:

  • our products or subscription plans;

  • payment providers;

  • refund procedures;

  • applicable laws; or

  • business practices.

The latest version will display the applicable “Last updated” date.

Changes to this policy will not retroactively remove refund rights that you had under applicable law or the terms applicable to a completed purchase.
